Earlier this winter, before all of this glorious sun, we were shrouded in what seemed like never ending low cloud. Socked in.  It was on one of these days that I enjoyed a family portrait photography session with the Family Cain, in honour of the adorable little Aubree- look at that face. Those beautiful eyes!

I enjoy the Cains so very much and was so happy to document Aubree’s middle-ish of her first year!  I love shooting the babies after the bumps… it’s always amazing to see who arrives!

Ohmigoodness, what a beautiful little dolly Kolton is!  What fun I had with him in this newborn photography session with parents Tammy and Josh… oh, and the ever-tolerant puppy, Molly!

This baby is ready to get at ‘er and start taking on the world… and he totally has no time for some silly ol’ lady who wants to put him to sleep so she can twist, poke and nudge him… and he certainly is having none of being squished into an old watering can!  But he was SO into the tie and wingtips!  Like I said, ready to get at ‘er!  You’re a gem, little man!

I am so pleased to finish off the year with a lovely revisit to one of my highlight events for 2014.  The work Kelsey, Andy and I did last July has recently been featured on Wedding Obsession!

Here’s a quick look back at this fab diy wedding via stop-motion!

Let’s talk about creating one for your portrait session or wedding! Inquire about working with me to capture your own wonderful stop-motion keepsake alongside your still photography documentation.

This was so much fun! We had such a great afternoon for this family portrait photography session near Invermere:   gorgeous late afternoon light, funky vintage shack and a terrific family!

I’m gonna say it… kids of a certain age are so goofy!  All teeth and elbows and no ability to forget the camera and just be- uninhibited and spontaneous- as they did when they were little.  The days of the wonderful candids are really over by about age eight or nine. I speak from experience, having three goofy goofs myself!  What is cool, though, when shooting these blossoming young people, is how, even when they’re being quirky, rambunctious and totally hamming… much to their chagrin, and despite their best efforts, we still get great shots!

So there, Mr. Matthew!

I had a lovely time, Nickuraks-  a total pleasure and so very pleased with the pictures we all made together!

Wow!  A stunning Valley afternoon for a family portrait photography session with the Schryver family!  Leah and Jason were after some great mountain views and boy, did ol’ Ma Nature deliver!

And, how cute are these two?!?!  Rory and Luke are such a handsome pair of little goobers!  They were such fun and so easy getting wonderful expressions out of the boys.

A great couple of hours spent frolicking with Team Schryver… I love my job!
