I was so excited to go enjoy a change of scenery for this engagement portrait photography session with Ally and Eddie in Lake Louise!  It was a gorgeous Saturday morning and a wonderful day to be up in Lake Louise… a thought that was shared by the 10 million other people who were up there with us!!  Living here at the foot of the Rockies, I forget what a draw Lake Louise is for the many, many people from around the world who come to marvel at this remarkable place.

This was special because I’ve known Ally a long time and I’ve had the pleasure of shooting her sis and babies in the past, so it was a particular treat to make this little road trip.  For those of you who may not know, Ally is the gal behind the gorgeous flowers and landscaping at Coys Par 3 Golf Course in Fairmont.  If you’ve never been, you must go… if only to enjoy the fantastic surroundings of this unique and popular little golf course.

Regardless the crowds, and feeling like they were on display, Ally and Eddie were total troopers!  It was a great morning and we found our groove… such a great couple and so excited to tie the knot at their getaway wedding this winter!  You guys did great and I wish you nothing but the best.. and babies.  Lots of babies!

tracy connery photography- stop motion film photography

Stop-motion Wedding Film: Kelsey & Andrew Get Married! from tracy connery on Vimeo.

What a magical day for Kelsey and Andy!  All the way from their home in Australia, Kelsey put together the most lovely and original event for her family and friends to celebrate their very conscious, while being so very care-free and totally laidback, coupling.

Kelsey carefully considered all the wonderful details:  from the gorgeous dress SHE MADE (!!!) using the lace from her grandmother’s wedding dress to the many vintage napkins she’s been collecting to the oh-so-cute-and-functional little trailer turned bar… oh, and the car, of course.  Not to mention requesting the unique documentation of the stop-motion film.  She truly thought of everything… and all of it a wonderful reflection of the incredibly creative spirit she is!

Just such a fantastic wedding and I feel so very fortunate to have been chosen to capture it!

A simply gorgeous maternity photography session with a most beautiful mom-to-be!

I had hoped to enjoy some beautiful evening light for our portrait session in Fairmont, but Mother Nature seemed intent on changing our plans.  We tried to make it happen, but the winds grew so strong and the skies so intimidating that we rescheduled for the following morning… which ended up to be a most wonderful choice!

Candis is absolutely beautiful and she and Nick are such excited expectant parents.

I so wish you all the best in good fortune and abundance with this new little addition.  🙂
