This post makes me just so happy!
I was so excited to photograph this Invermere family, Karen, Steve, Liz and Anna, after so much time… I think we figured eight years or so since they last had their family portraits taken.
As avid hikers and outdoors people, the view was important, Chisel Peak, in particular. We found the perfect location to ensure all of the requirements were provided for, including my need for shade and a little rickety old architecture to boot!
In addition to the perfect valley scenery, there’s nothing like an outdoor loo for the perfect backdrop.
What a wonderful, crazy and just a tad bit scary time of life for this family… one daughter graduated university and considering next steps, the youngest graduating high school and off on the next leg of her exciting journey. Wow! Beautiful grown women in the blink of an eye!
This is just one of many reminders I’ve experienced recently… time seemed to go in slow motion with little ones and so much was taken for granted. Now, with kids transforming into adults before our very eyes, the time literally flies!
