Ohhhhhhhhhhh… and the rain, it just seems to go on and on and on and on.
This June wedding fell just after the lovely heatwave, kicking off our new Rocky Mountain rainy season!
However, entirely nonplussed, Christine finished her last preparations to walk down the aisle as though she hadn’t a care in the world. The plans to ride to the Natural Bridge site by of Kubota via the trails of Nipika Mountain Resort were going ahead as scheduled, despite the rain that seemed ready to settle in for the day.
But wouldn’t you know it… Mother Nature stepped in to ensure that Christine and Colin were able to tie the knot, in this glorious spot overlooking the Kootenay River, without the need for cover of an umbrella.
And so it remained for the rest of the day. A fantastic day, with all said and done. Nipika Mountain Resort provided the world class venue, which we were able to enjoy thoroughly for portraits, thanks to Marnie and her trusty Kubota.
If the mood at a wedding is any indication of the marriage to follow, things look pretty darned good for Christine and Colin. Laid back, relaxed and taking things as they come with cool aplomb!
Oh… and tremendous catering compliments of From Scratch A Mountain Kitchen in Fairmont!
