Category Archives: pets You would think that with all of the development and, let’s face it, downright noise and tackiness that has become Cancun, that the sea turtles would have been totally turned off… I mean, even they know that nobody needs yet another Hard Rock Cafe! But, no. I guess after however many millennia, these pre-historic beasts…  We are safely landed and settling into life here in the excessive cheese-fest that is Cancun… though tropical storm Matthew is seemingly making himself at home over our little corner of the Caribbean and trying his darndest to dampen our holiday- literally. Well… too bad, Matthew, cuz it looks like the flu beat you to…  There are only about 13 degrees latitude difference between Calgary, Alberta and Rehoboth Beach, Delaware. Apparently, that translates to a 30 degree difference in temperature. On the first day of fall. Crazy.  I thought it was about time I caught up with this new brood of kitties before they all left for their new homes… I believe all are spoken for at this point. That is, if her mother, our dear Lucy, ever initiates weaning… she’s really quite the helicopter mom- attachment parenting at its finest. But…  Maybe it’s because spring seems to have abandoned ship… perhaps it’s that over these next couple of weeks the kitties I’ve hand-raised since they were a week old will be finding new homes… maybe it’s that my baby girl has left us for the weekend…. whatever it is, today has been, well, just one of… |
