The Krenzler family was darned lucky, I tell you! Within hours of our shoot this past Monday the weather started to warm up and our once adequate layer of snow began to melt. Great for snowballs, snowmen and getting soggy, but not for much else.
But anywhooo… thankfully, the weather was warm-ish, if it weren’t for the blasted wind, and we were able to get this lovely bunch, here in Fairmont to share a family Christmas, outdoors and out to a favourite location of mine… the historic Geary Homestead perched on the outer reaches of Mountainside Golf Course with views- when clear(!?)- everywhere.
Mom and Pop Krenzler, Karen and Elton hailing from FRIGID Grand Prairie were fortunate to gather their four girls, ranging from as far away as Alabama and Pennsylvania, and respective families to share the holidays here in our fair valley. With the exception of a stuck van- I’m sorry, Ryan!- I do believe we enjoyed the view, the snow and a little piece of local history as we made our way efficiently through the shoot.
My secret weapon, winking bunny, can enjoy almost all the credit for Tanner’s attention and lovely aunties can accept a much deserved pat on the back for helping us over the hump with the lovely little Miss Sophia.
The last images of the precious Cindy Lou look-alike were managed once she was warm and comfy cozy… in dad’s stuck van….. ahem.
I’m trying not to take this expression personally… it’s clear her blue eyes are wrought with terror- I can be scary, without a doubt!- but I think she was just due for a nap and clearly, me and my winking bunny could go take a hike…
